Our New Jersey Medicaid Offerings Page

What is Medicaid Funeral Assistance -

Medicaid funeral assistance is not designed to celebrate traditional funerals. It is designed to ensure that a deceased person is given the respect of a final disposition. We understand that very often families are also in difficult financial situations. Therefore, we assist these families by offering abbreviated services that fit within the strict Medicaid guidelines.

There can be no contributions beyond this amount, under any circumstance! Please do not ask for a way to add, exceed, or bypass this amount; this would be Medicaid Fraud; and we will deny service to you, or your family. If you would like a traditional funeral, then you cannot take the Medicaid allowance. The next of kin will be executing a statement to the deceased’s County Medicaid Office, declaring that the deceased persons had no assets. If there is a bank account or other asset, Medicaid will either seize that asset or deduct that from the $2246; requiring that amount to be paid from the source to the funeral home.

Medicaid break down / allowances:

Medicaid will contribute up to $2246 toward funeral expenses.

Family and friends may contribute up to $1570 Maximum.

Total Medicaid Funeral allowance: $3816.00

Medicaid will contribute up to $524  towards the crematory expense.

Total Medicaid allowance of ALL charges cannot exceed $4340.00

In addition to the Direct or Immediate Cremation Package - We offer the following discounted service options, and still meet the Medicaid allowance total of: $3816.00

(These 5 options include the allowable family contribution of $1570.00)

ADVISORY: If Medicaid denies coverage: The Five Special Medicaid Packages Listed Below, will not apply, and the prices of our regularly offered packages, and or the prices listed on our General Price List, will become applicable.  No Services or Cremation will be scheduled until confirmation is received from Medicaid that the Client is approved for benefits. The $1570.00 contribution is also required to be paid in full, prior to services or cremation.
