Rosanne Policastro

Rosanne Conroy Policastro of Kinnelon, N.J., mother of seven children and wife of the late Rocco Joseph Policastro (deceased 2005), died peacefully at home with her family on February 28, 2022, at the age of 94. Mrs. Policastro was born in Newark, N.J. and raised by her parents Lawrence Aloysius Conroy and Rose Genevieve Harris Conroy.

Rosanne was a graduate of N.J. State Teachers’ College, Newark, N.J. and worked as a Kindergarten teacher and school psychologist for the Newark public school system for 22 years, retiring in 1993.
She was an active member of the League of Women Voters in Nutley, N.J. Rosanne played the piano and slide trombone.

Mrs. Policastro is survived by five of her children; Josephine Policastro of West Milford, N.J.; Bernadette Policastro Latincsics of Wayne, N.J., Lawrence Policastro of Kinnelon, N.J., Amy Policastro Schroeder of Wake Forest, N.C.; and Andrew Policastro of Kinnelon, N.J. She was pre-deceased by two of her sons, Peter (2008) and John (1971) Policastro.
