Ronald William Thomas

Thomas, Ronald William, of Moonachie, passed away on December 4, 2022 at the age of 85. Devoted husband to Jane. Loving father to Christopher. Beloved brother to Raymond and his wife Carol. Cherished brother-in-law to John Kacsan and his wife Linda, Paula Sanner and her husband David, and Marsha Kacsan. Ronald is predeceased by his parents William and Marie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to express a very special thank you to his cousin, David Kamm, for all of his support.

Ronald was born in Jersey City in 1937, and spent most of his life raising his family in Moonachie. From 1955 to 1959, he served our country as a member of the United States Air Force. After obtaining a master’s degree from Michigan State University, he worked in the advertising business for 20 years. He then spent 25 years teaching geometry at Irvington High School. Ronald was also a member of the Moonachie Board of Education for 10 years, where he also served as president for some time. He will forever be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Margaret’s of Cortona Roman Catholic Church.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 12:00 PM at St. Margaret’s of Cortona Roman Catholic Church 31 Chamberlain Avenue Little Ferry, NJ. Arrangements by Cremation Society of New Jersey 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton, NJ.
