Kikuko Arima Nazario, age 96, passed away quietly on October 2, 2018 at the Regency Grande Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NJ where she had resided since 2015. Born in Yokohama, Japan in 1922, and a long-time resident of Newark, NJ, she will be cremated and her ashes released in Japan. Ms. Nazario is survived by her children, Richard Nazario, Cindy Ciccone, and Sandi Schuessler; two grandchildren, Christopher Langford and Nicholas Ciccone; and a niece, Kazuko Sekine, of Kamakura, Japan. She was predeceased by her grandson, Robert Ciccone, Jr. in 2015.
Ms. Nazario began her career as an accountant in Japan where she was employed by the U.S. Armed Forces in Tokyo. She turned a life long love of flowers into becoming an expert in the Ohara School of Ikebana flower arranging. She most recently worked for Beautiful Flowers, a specialty florist in Manhattan.
