Josephine A. Buonanno

Josephine A. (“Chickie”) Buonanno of Fair Lawn passed away in her home on April 5th.. Born on June 15, 1936, Chickie was a lifelong resident of the town, attending high school in Paterson, NJ and working as a line worker and shipper at Maggie-Magnetics in Paterson, before retiring. Nicknamed Chickie by her maternal grandmother, she spent her retirement in her home, visiting neighbors and enjoying her pets.

Predeceased by her parents, immigrants from Italy in the early 1900’s, Arturo and Michelina Martone, she is survived by five cousins and many of their extended families.

Those wishing to make a memorial gift in her name may consider St Jude’s Hospital for Children or your local animal shelter, both passions of hers.
