Joette T Boyd, 62, of Andover Township NJ, passed away on January 3rd, 2021 after a brief and valiantly fought battle with cancer.
Joette was born on June 8th, 1958 to Herbert and Edythe Savacool in Newton, NJ. She graduated from Newton High School in 1976 and went on to serve as a school bus driver for the Newton School District until her retirement in 2015. Thousands of children were safely brought to and from school over the years and cared for along the way due to Joette’s compassion. For her service, we are grateful.
Joette married John Boyd Sr. on December 31, 2001. She and John spent many loving years together. Always one to answer your call on the first ring, Joette loved talking with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was always at the center of making memories and sharing laughs, whether it be at a BBQ, going for a scenic drive or enjoying one of her favorites, the local fireworks show. Joette lit up every room with her smile and infectious laugh, bringing joy to all those who knew her. She will always be remembered for her caring and selfless nature and sense of humor. Joette leaves a legacy of putting others first, bringing joy to the room and making you feel privileged for having known her.
Joette is predeceased in death by her mother, Edythe Savacool.
Joette is survived by her loving husband John Boyd Sr.; daughter Erin Buser and husband Scott, stepson John Boyd Jr. and wife Nancy, stepdaughter Diana Boyd and husband AJ; grandchildren Nicholas, Joshua, Beckett, Destiny, Christopher, Johnny, Olivia; father Herbert Savacool; brothers Jeffrey Savacool and wife Kristi, and Joseph Savacool. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
At Joette’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joette’s name can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organization.
