Jaime A. Navarro

Jaime Antonio Navarro - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend - passed away in Paterson, NJ on Friday, December 30, 2022. Jaime was born to Miguel and Maria Navarro in Cartagena, Colombia on November 8, 1938.

He met his wife, Norys Cecilia Jiménez in 1974. Jaime and Norys married on December 1, 1977, they had two sons Jaime and Jannor. Jaime also raised Hellman Antequera as his own. Throughout the years, Jaime enjoyed reading, watching action movies, playing dominoes, and sharing a great meal and time with family and friends. He loved taking annual trips to the old country and sharing time with friends and family in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Jaime and Norys lived in Paterson, NJ from 1978 to 2007. They moved to Helotes, Texas to be closer to their grandchildren Tony and Ceci for 8 years. In 2015 they moved to Miami, FL and then returned to NJ in 2018 to be closer to their sons Jaime and Jannor and their youngest granddaughter Gigi. They lived in Wanaque, NJ for the birth of their youngest grandchild Gio.

Jaime worked at Mayland Textile, Coral Dyeing & Finishing, and The Bergen Record newspaper. Jaime is survived by his wife, Norys; their 3 sons Hellman, Jaime and Jannor; four grandchildren, Tony, Ceci, Gigi, and Gio; his siblings Osvaldo, Marlene, Alvaro, Nora and Jairo. His friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Jaime’s life in the way he would want to be remembered - as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.

Visiting on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Cremation Society of New Jersey – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton.

Jaime Antonio Navarro - dedicado esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano, tío y amigo - falleció en Paterson, NJ el viernes 30 de diciembre de 2022. Jaime nació en Cartagena, Colombia el 8 de noviembre de 1938, fruto de la unión de Miguel y María Navarro.

Conoció a su esposa, Norys Cecilia Jiménez en 1974. Se casaron el 1 de diciembre de 1977, tuvieron dos hijos, Jaime y Jannor, también crió a Hellman Antequera como su propio hijo. Durante su vida disfrutó leer, ver películas de acción, jugar dominó, compartir una excelente comida con familiares y amigos. Le encantaba viajar anualmente a su país natal y compartir mucho tiempo con amigos y familiares en Barranquilla, Colombia.

Jaime y Norys vivieron en Paterson, NJ desde 1978 hasta el 2007. Se mudaron a Helotes, Texas para estar más cerca de sus nietos Tony y Ceci donde vivieron 8 años. En el 2015 se mudaron a Miami, FL y luego regresaron a NJ en el 2018 para estar más cerca de sus hijos Jaime y Jannor y su nieta Gigi. Vivian en Wanaque, NJ cuando nació su último nieto, Gio.

Jaime trabajó en Mayland Textile, Coral Dyeing & Finishing y en el periódico The Bergen Record. Le sobreviven su esposa, Norys; sus 3 hijos Hellman, Jaime y Jannor; cuatro nietos, Tony, Ceci, Gigi y Gio; sus hermanos Osvaldo, Marlene, Alvaro, Nora y Jairo. Sus amigos y familiares los invitamos a compartir recuerdos felices y celebrar la vida de Jaime de la forma en la que a él le gustaría ser recordado: como un hombre cariñoso y conversador que disfrutó de la vida.
