Howard A Rappleyea

It is with great sadness that the family of Howard Arthur Rappleyea announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the age of 70.


Howard was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, on April 22,1948 to the late Henry and Frances Rappleyea, later raised by both Frances Rappleyea and George “Bub” Johnson.


Howard was preceded in death by his beloved life-long partner, Nancy V. Smith; brothers William Rappleyea and Henry Rappleyea. Surviving is his son Jason Rappleyea and his wife Annemarie, of Beachwood, NJ; his daughter Ginny Barnhill and her husband Greg, of Brick, NJ; his daughter Jenny Ocasio and her husband Mickey, of Brick, NJ; two grandchildren; Alyssa and Gregory; eight step-grandchildren; Evan,Drew, Allie,Leah,Kristal,Yarilline,Alex,and Mickey; one great granddaughter; Leilanni; and one great grandson on the way; brother Gene Rappleyea, of Toms River, NJ; sister Barbara Rappleyea of Brookneal, VA; sister-in-law Charlene Rappleyea of Phenix, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.


A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 17th from 12p-1:30p at Church of Grace & Peace - 1563 Old Freehold Rd. Toms River, NJ 08755
