Howard (Howie) Grevenitz, beloved son, husband, father, and brother died on January 10, 2022 at the age of 63. He was born on March 27, 1958 in New London, Connecticut and was a lifelong resident of Wayne, NJ.
He is survived by his parents Barbara and Curtis Grevenitz of Naples, Fl; his wife of almost 30 years Lorraine Bender Grevenitz of Wayne, NJ; his son James Grevenitz of Wayne, NJ; his stepson Stephen Joachim (fiancée Nicole), his brother Scott and wife Karen, his sisters Lisa and husband Dale and Sandi and husband Tom, his nephews and niece Curtis, Keith and Cory (wife Nicole) Grevenitz, Kyle and Eric Cavanaugh, Michael (fiancée Amelia), Dan and Melissa Rowland.
Howard graduated from NJIT with a BSME in 1980 and had a 36 year career with PSE&G, retiring as a senior test engineer in 2016.
Howard was an avid outdoorsman. He was happiest outdoors camping, fishing, boating, hunting and spending time on Lake Sunapee. He loved to teach his sons, nephews and many others how to fish and ride motorcycles. His mechanical ability was unmatched, restoring bicycles, motorcycles, lawn mowers and anything else that needed to be fixed. One of his greatest joys was going to see his son’s basketball games. He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friend Jimmy Buntzen. Howard saw the good in everyone and wanted the best for all his loved ones. He was a very selfless person and would do anything for others. He was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him.
There will be a celebration of his life on January 15, 2022 from 11-12 at Cremation Society of New Jersey, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
