Gerald Schmidt

Gerald “Jerry” Schmidt of Elmwood Park passed away on June 6, 2017, at the age of 75. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Doris Schmidt, and is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Bonnie Schmidt of Elmwood Park. He was a loving uncle to his nephews and their wives, Brandon and Sharon Schmidt of Fair Lawn and Blake and Autumn Schmidt of Cape Haze, FL. Jerry was also a loving great uncle to Paige and Lucas Schmidt of Fair Lawn, and Spencer Schmidt of Cape Haze. Jerry is celebrated by an extended family of classic car enthusiasts. His mechanical expertise and passion for classic cars will be truly missed.

Memorial Services will he held on July 8, 2017 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Following the services in honor of Jerry, there will be a car cruise to the Chatterbox Drive-in, 1 State Highway 15, Augusta, NJ 07822. Rain date for car cruise will be July 15, 2017.

In Lieu of flowers, donations made to the McPherson College (Attn: Amanda Gutierrez), 1600 East Euclid, McPherson, KS 67460, Jerry Schmidt Auto Scholarship would be greatly appreciated by the family.
