Edna Moore

Edna Moore, 79, passed peacefully on August 24, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 404 Hudson St., Hoboken, NJ on September 1, 2018 at 9:30am. A second Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Dennis Church, 90 Union Ave., Manasquan, NJ on September 21, 2018 at 10:30am.
Edna (nee Allen) Moore was born and raised in Manhasset, NY. After graduating high school, she married her sweetheart, Robert J. Moore, Jr. They resided in Hoboken, NJ till 1991 and then moved to Brielle, NJ.
Edna worked as a unit clerk at St. Mary's Hospital in Hoboken before retiring to Brielle. She kept active during retirement by volunteering in various clubs and charities. She was Past Regent of the Catholic Daughters of the America's, Court of St. Dennis of Manasquan, NJ. She was also a member of The Women's Club of Brielle where she served as Treasurer and President for a period of time and participated in the local Meals on Wheels program. Edna enjoyed traveling, reading, Broadway shows, shopping and mostly spending time with her family and friends. She will also be remembered for her sense of style and eye for fine art.
Edna was predeceased by her husband, Robert J Moore, Jr., Deputy Chief of the Hoboken Fire Department, in 2005. She leaves her beloved family - Daughter Cathy and husband Brett Rosa of Hoboken, NJ and their children Jaclyn and Dylan; Son Robert and wife Maria Moore of Wood Ridge, NJ and their children William and Emily; Daughter Theresa and husband Robert Kobin of Long Valley, NJ and their child Douglas, and Daughter Jennifer and husband Greg Treacy of South Orange and their child Adrian. She is also survived by her loving sister Diane Familetti of Houston, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Edna's children and most especially her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and she could not have been prouder of each and every one of them.
