Anne G. Smith

Smith, Anne G. (Kretzschmar) 90, of Upper Saddle River, NJ died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 9th, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Smith; loving mother of Suzanne Tillman and Lenore Cummings and her husband Jon also grandmother of Katherine, Malcolm Cummings and Conor Fleming.

Anne was an avid gardener volunteering at the State Botanical Gardens at Sky lands Manor and the Hopper-Goetshius House Museum Garden. She was a skilled seamstress, creator of beautiful quilts and a flea market enthusiast with her husband Bob. Together they restored their dilapidated find to new life.

Anne was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Woodcliff Lakes and Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood, NJ. She will be missed by her family and many caring friends.

A memorial service will be held on September 15th, 2017 at 11:00am at Old Paramus Reformed Church, 660E. Glen Ave Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Donations in Anne’s memory can be made to wwww.worldvision.org or to any other charity of your choice.
