Achim Mugrauer

Achim J. Mugrauer, 68, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2022. Achie was born on March 3, 1954 to William and Annie Mugrauer in Germany. He was the youngest of three children, predeceased by his brother Charlie and survived by his sister Lola Scheid and her husband Larry Scheid and their three children, Eric, Lauren, and Brian. Achie was married to Heidi Mugrauer and was the beloved father to five children, Jennifer, Annmarie, Dannielle and her husband Justin, Michael and his fiancée Shannon, and Vincent and his wife Laura, and grandfather to two grandchildren, Dominic and Dante.

Achie grew up in New York City after emigrating from Germany with his family at the age of 2. He lived in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania and then Clifton, NJ where he worked as a head custodian in Clifton Public Schools for 23 years. He was a jokester with a great sense of humor, quick wit, and outgoing personality. He made friends with everyone he met. He always rooted for the underdog. He enjoyed watching football (a lifelong Rams fan), horse racing, and spending time with his family. He loved visiting family in Texas and playing candy bingo.
