USE THE CHECK LIST BELOW TO ESTIMATE THE NUMBER

CERTIFIED COPIES OF DEATH CERTIFICATES THAT WILL BE
NEEDED
Listed
below are a number of items that will require a
certified copy of the death certificate.
Although there may be certain exceptions
depending on the institution, the majority of the time
the certified copy will be required.
When
ordering certified copies of the death certificate,
there is a $15.00 NJ State Permit and Filing fee in
addition to the Clifton City Clerk charges of $10.00 per
certified copy. To
help order the proper amount, you may want to contact
your financial advisor or attorney.

Remember when handling any of the items below always ask
for the certified copy back so that you may reuse it for
other situations.

Transfer of real property (houses, lots, etc.) for each
county of ownership

Settling insurance claims (each company will require

Obtaining union benefits (2 or 3 are commonly required)

Transfer of titles on automobile, trailer, boat, camper,
